Out of limitations ... - Mixed media panel for Dusty attic

Hello Sweeties,

Today, I'm up on Dusty Attic's blog with a mixed-media panel.

After priming the canvas board with white gesso, I covered it with paper paste, I also added randomly white crackle paste. I let it dry naturally to allow the crackle to appear.

In the meantime, I primed all the chipboards with white gesso. I embossed the Dandelion with white EP. Then, I added turquoise and silver waxes.

I covered the Flowering Vine with clear crackle paste and let dry naturally. I embossed the Geo Panel #3 with silver EP.

I used green wax to color the Wheat #3, the Foliage #25, and the Wildflower#4 with a touch of silver. For the Wheat #2 and the Foliage #23, I used Midnight, Cobalt, and silver waxes.

I used different shades of blue and turquoise Magical to color the background and used the same colors to paint the Flowering Vines.

When everything was glued, I added Silver and Midnight waxes to the edges of the canvas and the crackles. To finish, I added some silver glitter to add some sparkle.

Chase your dreams - Layout for 49 and Market

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on 49 and Market blog with a vintage layout featuring the Krafty Garden collection.
Making a beautiful layout in no time with the 49 and Market collections is really simple. Each collection has a lot of assorted elements such as ephemera, laser cut, rub-on transfers, ...  that go perfectly together.

For my background, I chose the Swallowtail Spectacle which is perfect for my chosen photo (from ArtHouseWhimsy).

I selected some Ephemera Bits as the base for the composition and a few Stacked Frames.

I added some Laser cut Elements and a square frame from the Acetate Assortment Set which I cut in two pieces. I added them to the two bottom corners.

I selected some Wildflowers Laser Cut as well that I added in between all the layers of papers and ephemera of the composition.

To finish, I added some rub-on transfer in the background.

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new canvas.

I primed the canvas with white gesso. When dry, I started to add several layers of paint with the help of a brayer. I also added a design with the Postcard Stencil. When happy with the result, I added some Clear Crackle Paste to the corners and borders.

I covered the Mystic Frame #1 with Gloden Metallic Flakes.

I primed the Spider Chrysanthemum, Flower Stamens, and Foliage #4 with White Gesso. Then I painted them with Ochre Liquid Acrylic paint and added Vintage Photo Distress ink to the edges.

I added a few flowers to the composition, which I also distressed with Vintage Photo.

Blue Moth - Tag for Finnabair BA

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Finnabair blog with a tag. I just have to play with all the new waxes and believe me, they are all amazing!

To start, I primed the tag (21 x11 cm) with white heavy gesso. Then, I covered it with Carte Postale Tissue Paper. I primed the tissue paper with clear gesso and added a design with the Secret Letter Stencil and Pearl Icing Paste.
When dry, I color the background with Burnt Sienna and Nude Acrylic paints.

Before gluing all the resin elements of the composition with 3D Matte Gel, I primed them with White Gesso as well as the Metal Blooms and the Woodland Leaves.

I painted the flowers and the moth’s body with Tiger Orange and the wings with Purple.

Then, the fun begins with the waxes. For the flowers, I used Coral and Red Flames, and for the leaves, Moss Green and Acid. I colored the frame with Black gold, I just love it! and as well as the gears.

For the moth, I used Celestial and Midnight for the body, then Sea Glass and Cobalt for the wings.
I used Honey to highlight all the details.

To finish, I added shadows with Ink Black, rust accent to the gears with Carmine and finally some glitter.

The Gnome's Garden - Tag for Dusty Attic DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a tag.

I selected a medium size tag from the Tag Medley set. I've primed the tag with white gesso before adding some designs to the background. I used the River Stone stencil with the Graphite paste to add the first design like a small path. Then, I added the second design with the Flourish stencil and light modeling paste. When dry, I painted the background with black and brown for the path, and green for the forest background.
I primed all the chipboards I've selected with white gesso as well. Then, I painted them with different acrylic paints.

The Gnome was painted with carmin, brown and black paint. I used brown and black paints to color the small Fairy Door #1 and black and white for the stone.

For the Grass Cluster #1, I used green and purple. I added a touch of Unicorn paste to add some fun.

I paint the head of the Toadstool Border with carmin and the grass with green paints.

When everything was to my taste, I glued everything together.

Kaleidoscope Cards for 49 and Market DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on 49 and Market blog with a simple set of cards created with both Color Swatch Charcoal and  Kaleidoscope collections.

I cut the two cards in a sheet of the Essential White Cardstock. The dimensions of the cards are 20 x 15 (Portrait) cm and 10x30 cm (Landscape), then folded in half.

I chose one sheet of paper from the 6x8 Charcoal Pack, and cut two pieces of paper 9,5 x 14,5 cm.

I selected a few Laser Cut Elements and Ephemera Bits from the Kaleidoscope collection to add on top.

I added a couple of Wild Flowers to the portrait card but kept the landscape card relatively flat.

Blue Fish - Mixed media canvas for Dusty Attic

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a mixed-media panel inspired by the sea life.

First I primed my canvas board with black gesso. I added two designs. The first one with the River Stone Stencel and gold paste to represent the sea floor, and the Second with the Confetti #2 Stencil and Ice Crushed Jewel paste for the bubbles.

I also primed the chipboard with black gesso except for the Coral Elements. I covered the latter with a light modeling paste. With my spatula, I made some peaks to give some dimension to the coral.

Next, I covered all the cogs I've selected from the Jumbo Cogs #2 and Mini Cogs #2 sets with Rust Effect Pastes.

I glued all the elements of the composition with a 3D gel except the Marine Mechanicals Fish. I selected different green, turquoise, and yellow waxes to color the Ocean Elements I've chosen.

For the Coral Mixed, I chose red and coral waxes. I highlighted all the elements with gold and silver waxes.

I used different shades of blue, green, and turquoise to color the fish. I highlighted the details with metallic waxes. When Happy, I glued the fish.

First, I used the Manor House stencil to add a design to the background with both the Frosted Pearl Icing Paste and the Crushed Ice Jewel Effect Paste.

While the design was drying, I primed some gears with Black Heavy Gesso and the other elements with Clear Gesso. I just added some Honey and Red Flame waxes to the gears.

For the lion, I mostly used Black Gold and Honey, and Red flames to mane. For the wings, I used Honey, Coral, Red flame and Black Gold were the attached to the lion’s body.

For the frame, I started with Black Gold To add some contrast. I chose mostly cold colors: Cobalt, Moss Green, Sea Glass, and Acid. When I was happy with the result, I added a touch of Red Flame.
