Free to Fly - Canvas for Lindy's Gang DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Lindy's Gang blog with a mini canvas inspired by our November challenge.

Color Guidelines: Purple - Orange - Dark Pink (or pinkish-red)

Challenge Ingredient = Canvas

I glued some tissue paper on the canvas. Before the gloss gel was completely dry, I remove the tissue paper leaving just a few strips. I covered the canvas with white gesso, and then I added a design with clear crackle paste and a stencil. 

I primed the wings and the lady's hair with black gesso and remove it partially with a paper towel. Next I colored them with Beaver Tail Brown.  I used the Salt Water Taffy Magical to add some color to the face. I primed the resin frame with clear gesso and I used Beaver Tail Brown to color it. 

I die cut some leaves, branches, and berries in an watercolor paper. The leaves and branches were colored with Beaver Tail Brown and Bayou Boogie Gold. To give some dimension to the berries, I used hot glue embossed with Polka Purple EP. 

I used a 3D matte gel to glue all the elements of the composition. When everything was in place, I sprayed the flowers with French Lavender Violet and Hi Maintenance Magenta. 

When everything was dry, I finished the composition with purple and gold glitters.

Owl - Mixed media panel for 49 and market DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on 49 and Market blog with a mixed media panel. I worked with several collections. As you can see they all worked well together.

I primed the HDF panel with white gesso before gluing the washi tape from the VA Anywhere collection. I used a soft matte gel. I tore a strip from the bonus page from the VA Hike More collection pack and another from the Ginger Peach page - VA Mango collection. I glued these strips too. Next, I primed everything with clear gesso before the next step. 

I added a design with a stencil and Golden Nugget paste. Then, I colored the washi tape with Burnt Sienna and Carmine liquid acrylic paints. 

I colored a few Butterscotch Sugar Posies with the Carmine paint as well as I wanted them to have a color that matched the owl's eyes. 

I colored the Whitewashed Frame with Burnt Sienna to mimic a wood frame. I stacked some VA Mango Ephemera elements and laser cut from the VA In the Leave collection. I used a binder clip to attach them as well as the photo to the frame.  

I glued all the Sugar Posies, the Rustic Bouquet, and the Foliage leaves with 3D gel. I added also some natural elements like alder's fruits or feathers. 

To finish, I decided to add some splatters of metallic flakes as well. I used a stamp with a splatters design to add the gilding glue.
