C'est une nouvelle page de mon « Journal de Famille » que je vous propose pour ce nouveau Creative Gym Exercice de Mixed Media Place proposé par Janka. Il s'agit de l'un de mes arrière-grands-pères maternels, Lucien.

Today, it's a new page of my "Family Journal" that I want to share with you for this new Creative Gym Exercice hosted by Janka. It's a photo of one my great-grand-father on my mother side, Lucien who was an engineer of the steel industry.

La plupart d'entre nous boivent du café, mais parce que nous sommes créatives, nous sommes nombreuses à l'utilisé comme un medium. Vous pouvez créer le projet que vous souhaitez que ce soit une carte, un tag,  un objet altéré, un assemblage, .... Vous avez une complète liberté ... vous devez juste utilisé du Café dans votre projet.

Most of us drink coffee, but because we are all very creative souls, many of us use coffee also as a kind of medium. You can create any type of project from mixed media pieces like cards and tags, to altered art, assemblage, journals and more. You have a complete freedom... be sure to include Coffee in your art.

J'ai commencé par coller avec du gel medium des morceaux de page de livre. Puis j'ai ajouté de la pâte à craqueler sur l'ensemble et j'ai laissé sécher. J'ai ensuite coloré l'ensemble avec du café que j'ai fixé avec un fixateur. A l'aide d'un tampon du set "Dirty Wall" et d'encre Archival Coffee, j'ai ajouté un peu de texture.

I started to glue some book pages to the background with the Soft Matte Gel. Then I added some White Crackle Paste almost everywhere, I was just careful to leave the book pages visible and let dry. Then I colored the whole page with coffee that I fixed with a fixative. I added some random stamping with a Dirty Wall stamp and Coffee Archival Ink, to add more texture.

J'ai mélangé du marc de café avec du gel 3D brillant et je me suis servie de cette pâte et d'un pochoir pour ajouter un motif au fond. Pendant que le motif séchait, j'ai ajouté quelques tâches de café à ma photo, teint un morceau de tissus avec du café et préparer les quelques papiers pour aller sous ma photo. J'ai utilisé de la poudre « Original Rust » pour donner un effet rouillé aux embellissements métalliques.

I mixed some coffee grounds with 3D Gloss Gel and used the paste to add a design with the Cobblestone stencil. While the design was drying, I added some coffee stains to the photo with a stamp and dyed a piece of fabric with coffee too. I used some "Original Rust" powder to add a rust effect to the Mechanicals.

Après avoir collé photo et embellissements, j'ai terminé la page avec Glass Glitter, micro-billes et marc de café.

Having glue photo and embellishments, I finished the page with Glass Glitter, Micro Beads and coffee grounds.

Aujourd'hui, c'est une page publiée dans Histoires de Pages n°62 que je vous propose.

Today, I want to share a layout published in Histoires de Pages n°62.

Le papier que j’ai choisi représentant un vieux caisson en bois, j’ai choisi d’accentuer cette idée de vielles planches. Pour cela j’ai coupé le papier en suivant le motif imprimé. J’ai ensuite vieilli les bords de chaque morceau avant de coller ces fausses planches sur un papier de couleur contrasté.

I chose to accent the old planks look of the paper I've used as a background. In order to accent the effect I cut the paper along the design. Then I distressed the edges before gluing everything onto a contrasting paper. 

Le gesso très dilué est idéal pour donner l’illusion d’une vieille peinture et pour parfaire l’illusion, j’ai également ajouté de la pâte à craqueler transparente à l’aide d’un pochoir.

Watered gesso is perfect to give the illusion of a old paint and to complete the illusion I added some clear crackle paste through a stencil.

Pendant que le fond sèche tranquillement, j’ai coloré les fleurs et les feuilles avec des Twinkling H2Os.

While the background was drying, I colored flowers and leaves with different colors of Twinkling H2Os.

Une fois la pâte à craqueler sèche, j'ai collé les embellissements et ajouté un peu de couleur. J’ai utilisé du gesso dilué pour tamponner le fond.

When the crackle paste was dry, I glued the embellishments and added some color. I used some watered gesso to added some random stamping.

Wilson Bridge - Mixed Media Place DT

Aujourd'hui, je suis sur le blog de Mixed Media Place avec cette fois une photo du Pont Wilson à Tours (France).

Today I'm up on Mixed Media Place with a photo on the Wilson's bridge in Tours (France). 

J'ai commencé par appliquer une couche de gesso transparent, avant d'ajouter un motif à l'aide d'un pochoir et de Modeling Paste sur laquelle j'ai saupoudré des Glass Glitter transparent.

I started to apply a thin layer of clear gesso on the background to protect it. When dry, I added a design with a stencil and Modeling Paste on which I sprinkle immediately pearl Glass Glitters.

Une fois sec, j'ai utilisé plusieurs nuances de Twinkling H2Os pour colorer le fond.

When dry, I colored the background with some Twinkling H2Os. 

J'ai recouvert les chipboards d'une couche de gesso irrégulière, puis je les ai coloré avec de la poudre de mica Rust.

I covered the chipboards with an uneven layer of heavy white gesso and colored them with Rust Mica Powder.

J'ai utilisé les mêmes couleurs de Twinkling H2O que précédemment pour colorer les fleurs et les feuilles.

I used the same colors of Twinkling H2Os than previously to color flowers and leaves.

Après avoir ajouté quelques tamponnages j'ai terminé la page avec des micro-billes, des Glass Glitters.

I finished the page with some Splash Micro Beads, Platinum Glass Glitter and Glitter as well as some random stamping.
