Joy to the World - Mixed media panel for Dusty Attic

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a mixed media panel inspired but the joyful November color combo.

Here is the rainbow color combo for November.

I glued a strip of fabric tape on the left side of the panel which I covered with a thin layer of white gesso. Next, I added a design with white crackle paste and the Lace Stencil. When dry, I added a touch of blue color.

I primed all the chipboard with white gesso. I colored the Pine Sprig "2, the Laurel Sprig, and the Foliage #11 with green magical and liquid acrylic.

I colored the Christmas Berries #2 with Starfish Foot Fuchsia. The color was a perfect match with the little girl's coat. For the window, I used orange magical and liquid acrylic paint.

I colored the Snowflakes #1 with yellow magical. Finally, I added waxes to all the chipboards to give them a Christmas feel.

To finish, I added glitter and the title from the Card Sentiments #1 set that I simply covered with waxes.

Seasons Greeting - Xmas decor for Dusty Attic DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a Xmas home decor.

I covered the MDF base with 2 layers of white gesso, then I added a design with a stencil and white crackle paste.

While the paste was drying, I primed all the chipboard with white gesso as well as some resin elements.

I embossed the Berries #2 with Silver Moon Mistletoe EP: a transparent embossing powder with a greenish undertone. I embossed also the fruits of the Foliage #11 with a golden EP.

I glued all the chipboards before adding any color. When happy with the composition, I just add one color: Burnt Sienna. When happy with the color, I highlight some details with gold wax. Then I used white wax to soften the transition between the brown ink and the white gesso.

To finish, I added some glitters.

Make Today Magic - Mixed media layout for 49 and Market DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on 49 and Market blog with a Christmas layout.

For my background, I chose the Peaceful Notions paper from the Vintage Artistry Serenity. I added a design with white crackle paste and a stencil. Next, I added blue and green inks to match the colors of the photo.

I die-cut different kinds of leaves and pine branches.  I colored the pine branches with the same colors I used for the background, the leaves with brown and green inks, and I embossed the ferns with a silver embossing powder.

I primed a resin element with black gesso, then I used waxes to add some colors.

I selected some Ephemera Bits to add under the photo, then I added Nature's Bounty flowers and a branch of Wildflowers. I added a few stamps from the Pewter Ticket Essentials.

I added some leaves from the 6x8 VA Serenity rub-ons and the titles came from the 12x12 Sentiments.

To finish, I added silver glitter

Nutcracker Cards - Xmas Card Set for Lindy's Gang

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Lindy's Gang blog with a set of Christmas cards.

I colored the background with Penguin Play Periwinkle and Iceberg Azure.

For one of the cards, I used the traditional method to stam the background, I used Black Archival ink.

For the other two I sprayed the stamp with the Narval Navy, I stamped twice on a blank paper to remove any excess ink, then stmped on my card. The result is a delicate and faded image tone on tone. I love the result.

I colored some berries with Blushing Polar Bear and Snowy Tundra Sunset as well as some of the flowers. For the pine branches, I used both Iceberg Azure and C'est la Vie Cerise inks.

I covered the resin nutcrackers with Sterling Foundry wax, then with Soot and Ash Grey Antiquing waxes.

To finish, I added glitter, sequins, and some pearls.
