The Stag - Mixed media panel

Hello Sweeties,

Today I have a mixed media panel to share with you. 

I primed the MDF window with white gesso. Next, I added a design on the background with a stencil and white crackle paste. I covered the top part with an uneven layer of plaster paste.

I primed the handle and the scissors with black gesso, and the other resin elements with clear gesso. I colored the handle and the scissors with Burgundy wax and used White Gold wax to highlight the details. 

Next, I started the composition with the biggest elements like the frame and the leaves. I glued everything with 3D Matte Gel. I finished the composition with Art Stones.

I painted the panel with liquid acrylic paints. I used Burnt Sienna and Ink Black to add some shadow. When happy with the result, I used the Old White wax to tone down the colors.   

To finish, I used White Gold wax to highlight all the details.

Aujourd'hui c'est un petit carton toilé que je vous propose avec les photos de mes arrières grand-parents paternels.

Today, I have a little canvas to share with you with the photos of paternal great-grandparents.

J'ai commencé par appliquer une couche de gesso blanc. Ensuite, j'ai ajouté un motif à l'aide d'un pochoir et de pâte de papier.

First I primed the canvas with white gesso. Next, I added a design with a stencil and Paper texture paste.

Une fois sec, j'ai collé quelques embellissements : fleurs, pailles, Art Stones, Mechanicals, ... J'ai délicat peint avec du gesso certains embellissements.

When dry, I glued some embellishments: flowers, straws, Art Stones, Mechanicals, ... I dry brushed gesso over some of the embellishments.

Ensuite, j'ai ajouté un peu de couleurs avec des peintures acryliques métalliques. J'ai fini avec des tâches faites avec les mêmes peintures.

Next, I added some colors to the background with metallic acrylic paints. I finished with splatters of the same paints.

J'ai terminé en tamponnant ici et là avec une encre Archival grise.

I finished with some random stamping with a gray Archival ink.

Nouveau mois, nouveau challenge chez Scrap Around the World. Et voici mon projet ...

New month means new challenge at Scrap Around the World. And here is my project ...

Et voici le magnifique tableau d'inspiration concocté par Veera Saarivuo de  Finlande qui m'a guidé pour réaliser cette page.

J'ai commencé mon fond de page en ajoutant un motif à l'aide d'un pochoir et de pâte de texture. Une fois sec, j'ai ajouté des dentelles, des fleurs en tissu, des boutons, des éléments en métal... Quand tous les éléments ont été placés, je les ai recouvert ainsi que le motifs d'une fine couche de Gesso. J'ai légèrement débordé sur le papier pour fondre l'ensemble.

I began my background by adding a design with a stencil and modeling paste. When dry, I added some lace, flower trims, buttons, metal connectors, ... When all the elements were in place, I covered them as well as the design with a thin layer of Gesso. I lightly went over onto the paper to blend everything together.

Une fois sec, j'ai ajouté de la couleur. J'ai utilisé des encres en spray Color Blooms et des encres Chalk.

When dry, I added some colors. I used Color Blooms sprays and Chalk Inks. 

Pour colorer les fleurs et les feuilles, j'ai utilisé des Gelatos.

To color flowers and leaves, I used the Gelatos.

J'ai ajouté une légére touche de Gesso au roses et un pointe d'or aux feuilles.

I added a light touch of Gesso to the flowers and a gold accent to the leaves.

Et pour terminer j'ai ajouté des perles, des Glass Glitters et des Art Sugar.

And to finish, I added some beads, Glass Glitters and Art Sugar.
