Life is about ... - Mixed media canvas for Dusty Attic DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new mixed media canvas inspired by the color combo of July. 

Here is the amazing July color combo from Prussian blue to green avocado.

I primed the canvas with white gesso. Next, I added a design with a stencil and plaster paste. 

While the background was drying, I primed the chipboards with white gesso too. I primed some bird skulls with black gesso. Next, I glued all the elements with 3D matte gel. 

When done, I colored the different chipboards with different paints and colors: the Feathers with the Prussian Blue Liquid Acrylic, the Foliage #3 and the Tropical Foliage #7 with the Avocado Liquid Acrylic, the Feathers by Nuneka with the blue turquoise acrylic paint, the Decorative Frame #2 with a blue turquoise acrylic paint and the Linen Impasto.  

I recovered the bird skulls with silver metallic flakes. To lessen the shine of the metallic flakes a little, I used the Charcoal matte wax. I waxed also the foliage chipboards with white gold and the rest with white pearl. 

To finish, I added some glitters.

Believe in Yourself - Mixed media tag for Lindy's Gang DT

Today I'm up on Lindy's Gang blog with a new tag inspired by the beautiful July combo of colors. 

Color guidelines: Dark Teal - Soft Grey - Dark Grey Challenge Ingredient: Circles

I applied some paper paste on the tag which I colored with Tweedle Dee Denim, Scintillating Silver, and Steel Shimmer. When dry, I stamped some text with black Archival ink. I stamped also a few butterflies on the side of the tag which I embossed with the detail powder Slam Dunk Silver. 

I covered a few round chipboards with paper paste and clear crackle paste. When the pastes were dry, I colored the chipboards with Whale Watch Blue. When Dry, I embossed the circles with the Chunky powder Chrome Doesn't Pay!.

I die cut some leaves that I colored with Tweedle Dee Denim and Scintillating Silver, and the other ones with Screaming Banshee Black and Steel Shimmer. I die cut the Rose Hips in a black paper and colored them with graphite and white pearl waxes. 

I embossed a few pebbles with Chrome Doesn't Pay! to add to the composition. To finish, I added some sequins.
