Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm on Dusty Attic's blog with a new mixed-media canvas.
Photo: @ArtHouseWhimsy (Boho Chic)
I primed the canvas and the chipboard with white gesso. Next, I covered the background with both light modeling and paper pastes. When painted, the two pastes will react differently creating the look of a rough wall.
I painted the background with liquid acrylic paints to reproduce the colors of the photo background. I used mostly Umber at the top. For the bottom, I added several layers of Umber, Malachite Green, Burnt Sienna, and Ink Black for the shadow.
At the top, I used the Circuit Circle stencil to add some circles with the light modeling paste. When dry, I painted them with Malachite Green to remind the ones of the photo and added shadows.
I painted the Floral Fantasy chipboard with Coral, Malachite Green, and Deep Turquoise. I used Malachite Green for the Seedlings and the Rose Leaves, Coral for the Dandelion, and Pink Quartz for the Lemon Blossoms.
I adhered the Floral Fantasy to a piece of cardboard to create added dimension. then, I added the flower cluster. I added shadows around the composition and white splatters.
To finish, I added glitter.
