Stress - Mixed Media Place Challenge

Le mois de juin est la période d'examen ici en France : Baccalauréat, concours, etc ...c'est une période stressante pour nos enfants comme pour nous parents. C'est pourquoi, j'ai choisi cette photo ...

La photo originale, trouvée sur Internet, était évidemment rouge. Toutefois, j'ai choisi de modifier la couleur pour une couleur apaisante. Même dans une situation stressante, on doit rester calme ...

June is the month of exam here in  France: high school level, competitive examination... it's a stressed period for our childrens as for us parents. It's why, I choose this photo...
The original photo, founded on Internet, was obviously red. However I choose to modifying the color to something more soothing. Even if a situation is stressful, we need to remain calm to get through a difficult period.

J'ai commencé le fond de cette page en appliquant de la pâte à craqueler avec un pochoir. J'ai partiellement "effacé" le dessin avec une spatule. Une fois la pâte sèche, je l'ai coloré avec des Twinkling H2O. Quelques tampons, quelques tâches m'ont permis de terminer mon fond. 

I created a design on my background with a stencil and crackle paste. I altered some of the design with a spatula. When dry, I colored it with Twinkling H2O. I finished my background with random stamping and paint splatters.

Les découpes "Blooming Branch" ont été découpées dans du papier aquarelle et colorées avec les mêmes couleurs de Twinkling H2O utilisées pour le fond de page.

I die cut the "Blooming Branch" in a watercolor paper and colored them with the same Twinkling H2O used on the background.

Les roses ont également été colorées avec les Twinkling H2O.

I colored the roses with the Twinkling H2O too.

1854 - Mixed Media Place DT

Voici une petite page pour Mixed Media Place. Pour celles qui me suivent sur Instagram, vous vous souvenez peut-être de cette photo que j'ai prise lors de ma visite du Phare des Baleines sur l'Ile de Ré.

I want to share a new layout I made for Mixed Media Place. For the ones who follow me on Instagram, perhaps you remenber this photo I take when visiting the Phare des Baleines (Whale's Lighthouse) on the Ré Island (France).

J'ai pris la photo du haut du phare et au sol on peut voir l'année à laquelle il fût allumé : 1854.

I took the photo from the top of the lighthouse . On the floor, we can see the year the light was put on: 1854.

J'ai commencé le fond de page en appliquent de la pâte à craqueler à l'aide d'un pochoir. Un fois séche, j'ai utiliser des Twinklings pour la colorer. J'ai terminé avec quelques tampons.

I created a design on my background with a mask and crackle paste. When dry, I used some Twinklings to color it. I finished with some random stamping.

La montre (chipboard) et les chiffres (découpes) ont été paint avec du gesso noir. J'ai terminé par une touche de cire cuivrée. J'ai coloré les petites fleurs blanches (Frost) en violet en utlilisant une Twinkling Wild Plum. 

I painted the clock (chipboard) and the numbers (die cuts) with black gesso and to finish them I added a touch of copper wax. I colored the white flowers (Frost) with the Wild Plum Twinkling.
