Boho Skull - Mixed media panel for Dusty Attic DT

Aujourd'hui je suis sur le blog de Dusty Attic avec un nouveau panneau mixed meda.

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new mixed media panel. 

Pour mon fond, j'ai recyclé une couverture de Art Journal que j'ai recouvert de gesso blanc. Puis j'ai collé quelques morceaux de Chicken Wire Panel avec du gel 3D mat. Ensuite, j'ai ajouté les String Frames et le crâne. C'est la base de ma composition.

I recycled an old Art Journal cover as my background, which I primed with white gesso. When done, I glued pieces of the Chichen Wire Panel with 3D Matte Gel. Next, I added the String Frames and the Skull. That was the base for my composition. 

J'ai continué avec des éléments plus petits autour du crâne comme les Ferns, Maiden Hair Ferns, Tropical Leaves #3, Flower Buds #2 et les feuilles du set Boho Skull. J'ai également ajouté des Feathers by Nuneka à la base des String Frames pour suggèrer un attrape-rêve.

I continued with the smaller elements, around the top of the skull, such as Ferns, Maiden Hair Ferns, Tropical Leaves #3, Flower Buds #2, and leaves from the Boho Skull set. I added also some Feathers by Nuneka at the base of the String Frames to suggest a dreamcatcher.

Une fois le gel sec, j'ai tout recouvert avec deux couches de gesso blanc. Il est préférable de passer deux fines couches de gesso plutôt qu'une épaisse afin de préserver les détails de certains chipboards comme les boutons de fleur.

When the gel was dry, I covered everything with two layers of white gesso. It's better to add two thin layers of gesso rather than one thick if you want to preserve the details of some chipboards like the flower buds.

Une fois sec, j'ai commencé à mettre en couleur ma composition. Tout d'abord j'ai travaillé avec les tons bleu-vert. J'ai utilisé les acryliques liquides Deep Turquoise, Emerald and Prussian Blue avec de l'eau pour obtenir un effet d'aquarelle. Une fois satisfaite du résultat, j'ai séché le panneau avec mon heat gun avant d'ajouter des ombres avec la peinture Burnt Sienna. J'ai ensuite brossé à sec avec du gesso blanc l'ensemble des éléments après avoir séché le tout. J'ai continué en ajoutant une touche de violet.

When done, I started to add some colors. First, I worked with the blue-green colors. I used Deep Turquoise, Emerald, and Prussian Blue liquid acrylic paints with water to obtain a watercolor effect. When happy with the result, I dried the canvas with my heat gun before adding depth and shadow with Burnt Sienna liquid acrylic paint. I dried again and dried brush everything with white gesso. I continue to add more color with the Violet liquid paint. 

J'ai coloré quelqus fleurs avec les peintures Violet et Deep Turquoise que j'ai ajouté au sommet du crâne et autour des plumes. 

I colored some flowers with Violet and Deep Turquoise paints and added them at the top of the skull and around the feather.

Pour finir la composition, j'ai tamponné ici et là avec un tampon texte et de l'encre Archival marron. Puis j'ai ajouté des glitters et des microbilles.

To finish the composition, I stamped randomly with a text stamp and brown Archival ink and added glitters and microbeads.
