Blue Venus - Maja Design DT

Aujourd'hui je suis sur le blog de Maja Design avec une nouvelle page réalisée avec la collection Vintage Summer Basics.

Today, I'm up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the Vintage Summer Basic collection. I chose a photo of the Daum Venus aux Tiroirs by Salvador Dali. 

J'ai tamponné ici et là avec une encre grise avant de protéger le fond avec du gesso tranparent. J'ai également ajouté un légére couche de gesso blanc pour attéuer légéremen le bleu de la page.

I stamped here and there with a grey ink before priming the background with clear gesso. I added also a very thin layer of white gesso to tone down the blue. 

Ensuite, j'ai ajouté un motif à l'aide d'un pochoir et de pâte de papier. J'ai saupoudré la poudre encore humide avec deux poudres à embosser : une nacrée et l'autre argenté que j'ai embossé.

Next, I added a design with a stencil and Paper texture paste. While the paste was still wet, I sprinkle two embossing powders: one pearl, the other silver that I heat set. 

Puis j'ai ajouté un peu de couleur avec de l'encre noire, blanche et des micas acier pour ajouter un peu de contraste.

Then, I added some colors: black ink, white ink, and steel mica to add some contrast.

Pendant que les encres séchées, j'ai découpé quelques feuilles dans du papier aquarelle. J'ai coloré les plus grosses avec une encre bleue et je les ai embossé avec la poudre nacrée. J'ai recouvert les autres avec une feuille argent. J'ai également coloré quelques fleurs en bleue.

While the inks were drying, I die cut some leaves in a watercolor paper. I colored with a blue ink and embossed the big ones. I covered the other ones with a silver foil. I colored some flowers in blue.

J'ai coupé quelques papiers de la collection Home for the Holidyas pour mettre sous la photo. Puis j'ai tamponné ici et là avec un tampon texte avant de coller tous les embellissemens.

I cut some papers in the Home for Holidays collection to add under the photo. Before gluing all the embellishments, I stamped some text here and there with a black ink. 

Pour finir la mise en page, j'ai ajouté des microbilles et des glitters.

To finish the layout, I added silver microbeads and glitters.

Today I'm up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the Vintage Summer Basics. I worked with a photo I've taken during an event at the Château de l'Islette (Loire Valley, France).

J'ai commencé par protéger le fond avec une couche de gesso transparent avant d'jouter un motif à l'aide d'un pochoir et d'encres bleu-turquoise.Ensuite, J'ai tamponné ici et là avec une encre noire.

First I primed the background with clear gesso before adding a design with a stencil and teal inks. Next, I stamped here and there with a black ink. 

Ensuite, j'ai ajouté une second motif avec un deuxième pochoir et de pâte papier. Pendant que la pâte paier était encore humide j'ai saupoudré deux poudres à embosser.

Next, I added a second design with a second stencil and paper paste. While the paper paste was still wet I sprinkled two embossing powders that I heated set.

J'ai découpé diverses feuilles dans du papier calque et du papier aquarelle. Je les ai embossé avec les mêmes poudres.

I die cut different leaves in a vellum paper and in a watercolor paper. I embossed them with the same powders. 

J'ai coupé quelques papiers pour mettre sous la photo et j'ai collé tous les embellissements : du sisal, quelques fleurs dont j'ai changé les coeurs, quelques éléments en pâte de papier, les feuilles et quelques cristals.

I cut a few papers to add under the photo and I glued all the embellishments: some sisal, a few flowers whose hearts I've changed, some paper clay elements, the leaves and some crystals.

Pour finir la mise en page j'ai de nouveau tamponné avec un tampon texte.

To finish the layout I stamped again with a text stamp.

Today I'm up on Lindy's Gang blog with a new layout featuring a photo of my Mom. 

J'ai commencé par tamponner aléatoirement le fond avec une encre marron. Enfin, si n'est pas si aléatoire étant donné que j'ai tamponné l'emplacement où ma composition va se trouver. Puis j'ai protégé le fond avec du gesso transparent.
Une fois sec, j'ai ajouté un motif à l'aide d'un pochoir et deux pâtes à craqueler : transparente et platine pour ajouter encore plus d'intérêt. J'ai laissé sécher naturellment pour permettre aux craquelues d'apparaître.

First I stamped randomly the background with an Archival ink. Well not so randomly in fact, as I stamped the area where my composition will be. Then, I primed the background with clear gesso.
When dry, I added a design with one of my stencil and with two crackle pastes: clear and Platinum to add some interest. I let it dry naturally to allow the crackles to appear.

Ensuite, j'ai choisi les couleurs de ma page : C'est la vie Cerise, Sassy Sapphire, Incandescent Copper, Medieval Gold et Red Hot Poker Orange.
J'ai uilisé ces couleurs pour colorer le fond.

Next, I chose the colors of my layout: C'est la vie Cerise, Sassy Sapphire, Incandescent Copper, Medieval Gold, and Red Hot Poker Orange.
I used all these colors to color the background.

J'ai découpé quelques feuilles dans du papier aquarelle que j'ai coloré avec My Mojito Green et quelques unes des couleurs que j'ai utilisé précédemment. Pendant que les encres étaient encore humides, j'a saupoudré deux poudres à embosser : Silver Moon Mistletoe et Desert Moon Copper Teal. Une fois chauffé, elles ressemblent à des gouttes d'eau.
J'ai également coloré quelques fleurs.

I die cut some leaves that I colored with My Mojito Green Magical and some of the others inks I used previously. While the inks were still wet I sprinkled them with two embossing powders: Silver Moon Mistletoe and Desert Moon Copper Teal. When heat set, they looked like dewdrops.
I inked also some flowers.

Ensuite, j'ai préparé quelques papiers aquarelles pour ajouter sous la photo. J'ai tamponné l'und'eux avec une encre, les deux autres avec de la Versamark et je les ai embossés avec les mêmes poudres à embosser que précédemment. Je les ai vaporisés avec les mêmes encres.
Une fois les embellissements secs, j'ai commencé ma composition et j'ai collé tous les embellisements avec un gel 3D. Pour terminer la mise en page j'ai ajouté des flocons de mica or et des mirobilles orange.

Next, I prepared some watercolor papers to add under the photo. I stamped one with ink, the two other with Versamark and I embossed them with the previous embossing powders. I sprayed them with the same inks too. 
When all the embellishments were dry, I started my composition and glued everything with a 3D gel. To finish the layout I added gold mica flakes and orange microbeads.

Quand j'ai vu le mot MEMORIES j'ai juste pris la box dans laquelle je conserve mes photos de famill. Mais ça c'était la partie facile, le plus difficile a été de trouver celle que je voulais utilisé pour ce projet ! J'ai finalement choisi cette photo de ma maman quand elle avait seulement 19 mois ! J'ai ajouté un chipboard de cadres imbriqués les uns dans les autres.

When I saw the word MEMORIES, I just had to take the box where I keep my family’s photos. But that was the easiest part, the hard part was to find the one that I want to use on this project! I finally chose this photo of my mother when she was just 19 months old! I added a chipboard made of interlocking FRAMES.

J'ai commencé par tamponné le fond avec deux tampons et deux encres : une marron et une noire. Puis j'ai protégé le fond avec du gesso transparent.

First I stamped the background with two stamps and two inks: one brown and the other black. Next, I primed the background with clear gesso. 

Ensuite, j'ai ajouté un motif aà l'aide d'un pochoir et deux pâtes à craqueler : transparente et blanche afin d'obtenir un motif discret.

Next, I added a design with a stencil and two crackle pastes: clear and white to obtain a faded design. 

Pendant que les pâtes séchaient, j'ai découpé des feuilles et des brindilles dans du papier aquarelle. Je les ai coloré avec plusieurs encres en spray ainsi que les fleurs et le chipboard.

While the pastes were drying, I die cut some leaves and stems in a watercolor paper. I colored them with different spray inks as well as the flowers and the chipboard. 

Ensuite, j'ai peint le fond avec les mêmes couleurs que j'ai utilisé pour colorer les embellissements. J'ai coupé quelques papiers pour mettre sous la photo et j'ai collé les embellissements avec une gel 3D.

Next, I painted the background with the same colors I used to color all the embellishments. I cut some papers to add under the photo and I glued all the embellishments with a 3D gel. 

Pour terminer la mise en page, j'ai ajouté des microbilles et des Art Stones.

To finish the layout, I added some microbeads and Art Stones.
