Fan - Mixed Media DT

Aujourd'hui c'est un petit chassis que je vous propose pour Mixed Media Place. J'ai recyclé un éventail que j'ai reçu dans mon restaurant japonais favori.

Today, it's a little canvas that I want to share with you for Mixed Media Place. I recycled a fan that I received at my fave japanese restaurant.

J'ai commencé par ajouter un motif à l'aide d'un pochoir et de « Modeling Paste » et couvrir d'une couche de gesso l'éventail.

I started to add a design to the canvas with a stencil and Modeling Paste and primed the fan with a layer of Heavy Gesso.

Une fois le fond sec, j'ai collé l'éventail avec du gel 3D mat ainsi que tous mes embellissements. Puis j'ai recouvert éventail et embellissements d'une couche de Heavy Gesso.

When the background was dry, I glued the fan with 3D Matte Gel as well as all my embellishments. Then I covered fan and embellishments with a layer of Heavy Gesso.

L'étape amusante a commencé : à l'aide d'un pinceau j'ai saupoudré différentes couleurs de Mica Powder sur les embellissements, vaporisé de l'eau et recommencé jusqu'à ce que je sois satisfaite. J'ai vaporiser un fixatif avant l'étape suivante.

The fun step started: with a brush I sprinkled the embellishments with different colors of Mica Powders, sprayed some water and started again untilI was happy with the result. I sprayed a fixative before the next step.

J'ai recouvert ensuite les embellissements avec du Gesso noir légérement dilué, je l'ai laissé légérement séché avant de l'enlever avec des lingettes.

I covered the embellishments with some diluted black gesso, I let dry a little before removing the gesso with baby-wipes. 

Et pour finir, j'ai utilisé des Silks pour donner quelques notes plus « vives » à l'ensemble.

And to finish, I used some Silks to give some brightest notes to the whole.

Villandry - Maja design DT

Aujourd'hui, je suis sur le blog de Maja Design avec une vue du château de Villandry (Indre-et-Loire, France) et la toute nouvelle collection : Enjoying Outdoors.

Today I'm up on Maja Design blog with a view of the castle of Villandry (Indre-et-Loire, France) and the new collection: Enjoying Outdoors.

J'ai commencé par préparer le papier de fond avec une couche de Gesso transparent. Puis, j'ai ajouté un motif à l'aide d'un pochoir et de pâte à craqueler.

First I primed the background paper with a layer of clear Gesso. Then, I added a design with a stencil and crackle paste.

J'ai recouvert les chipboards de Gesso blanc avec de les peindre et de couvrir la partie "fleur" de microbilles. J'ai découpé des feuilles dans deux papiers assortis et coloré les fleurs

I covered the chipboards with white Gesso before painting them and covering the "flower" parts with micro beads. I die-cut some leaves in two assorted papers and colored the flowers.

Aprés avoir tout assemblé, j'ai coloré le fond, ajouté quelques tâches et des Glass Glitters.

After assembling everything, I colored the background, added some splatters and Glass Glitters.
