Bird House - Home decor for Lindy's Gang

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Lindy's Gang blog with a Xmas home deco.

I primed an MDF birdhouse with white gesso. Then I added a design with a stencil and Jewel Crushed Crystal paste. 

I colored two pieces of paper. I used Peony Scarlet Red, Sweet Violet Purple Teal, and Jazzy Jivin' Purple for the first. For the second, I used Lucious Lime and Alien Go Green. I die-cut some poinsettias in both papers.

I die-cut some pine branches that I colored with the previous green inks and Green with Envy Green. 

I shape all the poinsettias and leaves. Next, I added white gold wax to the edges of the poinsettias and the pine branches.

When everything was glued, I colored the background with Ponderosa Pines Olive and Lucious Lime.

To finish, I added the bird.

Nutcracker Cards - Xmas Card Set for Lindy's Gang

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Lindy's Gang blog with a set of Christmas cards. 

I colored the background with Penguin Play Periwinkle and Iceberg Azure. 

For one of the cards, I used the traditional method to stam the background, I used Black Archival ink. 

For the other two I sprayed the stamp with the Narval Navy, I stamped twice on a blank paper to remove any excess ink, then stmped on my card. The result is a delicate and faded image tone on tone. I love the result.

I colored some berries with Blushing Polar Bear and Snowy Tundra Sunset as well as some of the flowers. For the pine branches, I used both Iceberg Azure and C'est la Vie Cerise inks.

I covered the resin nutcrackers with Sterling Foundry wax, then with Soot and Ash Grey Antiquing waxes.

To finish, I added glitter, sequins, and some pearls.

Be Brave - Mixed media tag for Lindy's Gang

Today I'm up Lindy's Gang blog with another tag. You can feel that Autumn is there. The trees are taking their beautiful colors.

Color Guidelines: Golden Yellow - Burnt Orange - Milk Chocolate

Challenge Ingredient: Leaves

I colored a watercolor paper with Cattail Copper Broan, Sandra Dee Sepia, and Café au Lait Magicals.

Next, I stamped the background with the Cattail Copper Brown. The result looks like a watercolor design. 

I colored another watercolor paper with the same three colors in which I die cut some leaves and ferns. I colored some die cut branches with Sandra Dee Sepia. 

I colored the flowers with the Cattail Copper Brown Magical.

I added some rub-ons from the Curators Meadow collection.

To finish, I added glitter.

Halloween Night - Tag for Lindy's Gang DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Lindy's Gang blog with a new tag special for Halloween. 

Basic process:

1. Mix thoroughly some 3D gloss gel a little bit of Parrotfish Purple Sifter, add the violet glitter;
2. Add a design with this paste and a stencil on a piece of canvas linen;
3. When dry, color the background with Bombshell Black;
   
   
   
   
4. Prime the skull and bones with white gesso;
5. Color them with Long John's Silver;
6. Prime the frame with black gesso, highlight the details with Old Silver and Aged Brass waxes;
   
   
   
   
7. Die cut a few leaves, fern, and berries in a watercolor paper.
8. Color them with Long John's Silver and Manta Ray Gray Sifter;
9. Color the berries and the roses with Parrotfish Purple;
   
   
   
   
10. Glue all the elements of the composition with 3D gel;
    
    
    
    
11. To finish, add some glitter.

Today I'm up on Lindy's Gang blog with a new tag inspired by the beautiful color combo. 

Color Guidelines: Mulberry - Soft Pink - Silver

Challenge Ingredient: Vintage

I worked on a piece of canvas linen that I colored with Gag me With a Spoon Gray and Black Hole Black. Gag me With a Spoon is a beautiful gray with a pink undertone. One of my favorite colors. 

Next, I added a design with 3D Gloss gel which I covered with Magic Moon Pearl EP before it was completely dry. I embossed the powder and insisted until the gel bubbled to add more texture. 

I die cut some leaves, ferns, branches, and berries which I colored with Long John's Silver and Open Arms Amethyst. I used the last one to color the flowers as well. 

I primed the resin elements with clear gesso. To color the frame, I used the Bombshell Black Starburst, then the Old Silver wax to highlight the details. I colored the moths with the Plum Knödel Purple Magical, then with Bombshell Black. I used the Old Silver and the Aged Bronze waxes to highlight the details. 

To finish, I added some silver glitter.

You are absolutely Perfect - Mixed media panel for Lindy's Gang DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Lindy's Gang with a new video tutorial. I was asked to make a layout with Audrey Hepburn and here it is.

I want a background to match my rub-ons. I selected a few green sprays whose colors match the ones of the rub-ons. To apply them, I used a baby wipe instead of my brush. Il will help to blend all the colors together. I colored only the part where my composition will be.

When the color was to my liking, I worked on the second part of the panel. As I want this part to be more white than colored, I used a new baby to remove the ink here and there. The result looks more natural: the more colorful side faded to white without a sharp limit.

Next, I added some rub-ons. As the background was the right color, we can see were the design start and finish. I added a design with a stencil and a homemade paste made of 3D Gloss Gel and Screaming Banshee Black. I mixed thoroughly the magical with the gel to avoid any surprise, as I want my paste to have this dark purple color. 

I die cut some leaves and flowers in a watercolor paper. I colored the leaves withMad Hatter Mint, Jack in the Pulpit Teal and Ponderosa Olive Green. I used Dragonfly Denim and Nuneka's Purple Popsicle to color the flowers.

When the composition was to my liking, I glued everything with 3D matte gel. I added splatters with a mixed of soft gloss gel, Screaming Banshee Black and glitter. To finish I added some glitters.

Relax, we're all crazy ... - Lindy's Gang DT

Today I'm up Lindy's Gang blog with my teamies for a new challenge. The challenge ingredient is retro which naturally led me to go through my stock of old postcards to find the right one. 

Color Guidelines: Bright Green - Purple - Royal Blue

Challenge Ingredient: Retro

To make my background, I used Plum Knödel Pumpkin, Just be Kind Cobalt, and Lucky Shamrock Green Magicals. When dry, I added a design with a stencil and 3D gloss gel.

When the gel was completely dry, I sprayed the whole page with Bombshell Black. The gel has a resist effect meaning that the ink didn't stay on the gel. I used tissue paper to remove the ink. And voilà!

I stamped a text which I embossed with Queen Sheba's Silver EP.

To finish I added some glitter.
