See Possibility Everywhere - Mixed media layout for 49 and Market DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on 49 and Market blog with a new layout. I found this lovely photo with this little witch from Paige Cody and decide to make a Halloween layout even if Summer is still very present here in France.

I choose the "Je t'aime" page from the Vintage Artistry Coral collection for my background which I primed with clear gesso. Next, I added a design with a stencil and clear crackle paste. I let the paste dry naturally to allow the crackle to appear.

In the meantime, I worked on the flowers. I darkened the Coral Majestic Bouquet flowers with the Red Hot Poker Orange spray to correspond to the color of the pumpkin. And I added some turquoise shimmer to the midnight Royal Posies to match the witch's hat. I die cut some leaves in a watercolor paper and colored them with Tainted Love Teal. I added some Firebird wax as well.

I primed a resin frame with black gesso and use different waxes to color it.

I layered some papers from the Coral Collage Stack and the Essentials Ephemera Bits with pieces of cardboard. Then I added the frame and the photo on top. I added the flowers, some sisal, the die-cut leaves, and some alder fruits that look like mini pine cones.

To finish the layout, I added some glitters.

I hope you will enjoy the video:

Light the Way - Mixed media panel for Lindy's Gang DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Lindy's Gang blog with a new mixed media panel. I used Magical to create some beautiful textures.

The result is stunning or so I think. The result is really what I was looking for. I added some Hag's Wart Orange when the paste was dry that flows in the cracks. I give some warm to the light effect.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take a photo where you can see the transparency of the paste.

Next, I want to make a matte crackle paste to mimic an old paint that has overheated.
This time I used a white crackle paste which I colored with the Black Hole Black Magical. I added also some dry coffee grounds to add some texture as well.

The coffee grounds probably accelerated the cracking process by absorbing the water and also led to the formation of mini cracks. The result was unexpected but, I love it. I added different shades of brown and orange to mimic the rust.

The last crackle paste I made was for the grid. I simply mixed the white crackle paste with the Black Hole Magical, as I want a paste that will be easy to apply.
The result is without surprise, but the effect is perfect to replicate the effect of the paint being crackled from below by the rust. I add the same shade of brown and orange magicals to complete the rust effect.

I painted the gears with a mix of Liquid Fluid Medium, Black Hole Black, Milky Way White and Titanium Whit liquid acrylic paint. But the result was to glossy for me, so I used the Charcoal Black wax to matify them and the Rust Effect pastes to finish. For the flowers, I used the Red Hot Poker Orange.

To finish the composition I added some glitter.

I hope you will enjoy the video.

Joker - Mixed media canvas for Dusty Attic

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new mixed media panel. I chose a photo from Denis Chekanov: the Joker. I love the idea of this wildcard character.

I covered the canvas with tissue paper. Next, I applied some Plaster and Modeling pastes. When dry, I added a design with the Metal Plate stencil and White Crackle paste.

I primed all the chipboards and the resin gear with black gesso. I colored the pieces of the Number Panel with the Red Amber wax and the Old Coins with the White Gold wax.

Next, I used an old trick to alter the industrial elements. I covered the Cogs, the Industrial Border, the Chains, and the top of the Industrial Globes with white glue. While the glue was still wet, I dried it with a heat gun until it bubbled. When the bubbles cool, they wrinkle and this is what I was looking for.

Next, I painted everything with black gesso again. I used waxes to highlight all the details.

I primed the resin skulls with white gesso and used Ink Black paint to add some shadow.

I painted the background with different shades of blue and green to match the color of the photo. When happy with the color, I dry-brushed the whole canvas with white gesso to bring back the details and the texture.

After gluing all the elements of the composition, I added microbeads and glitters as the final touch.

Under the Clouds - Mixed media canvas for Dusty Attic DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new mixed media canvas. I worked with another photo from Christina Fisher.

Here is the amazing mood board with its soft colors

First, I covered the canvas with Plaster paste. When dry, I painted it with Burnt Sienna and Nude liquid acrylic paints. After drying, I added a design with the Burnt Sienna. I added some metallic flakes here and there. I covered the edges with Clear Crackle paste. When dry, I used a Vintage Antiquing Cream to reveal the cracks.

I primed the Star Banner with black gesso before adding Gold Metallic Flakes. I primed the Moon, the Clouds, Birdhouses, and the Cherry Blossom with white gesso.

I paint the Clouds with White Pearl and a hint of Soft Satin, the Moon with Unicorn Hair, and White Pearl. For the birdhouses, I used Burnt Sienna with waxes.

I painted the branch of the Cherry Blossom with Burnt Sienna and the flowers with Soft Satin and a touch of White Pearl. I added some Old White matte wax to matify them, then added White Pearl wax on the edges.

To finish, I added some glitters.
