Masculine Card Set for Dusty Attic DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a set of cards. The new Industrial Clusters are just perfect to make cards, if you haven't seen them yet, you can find them here.

For the background, I chose to work on a piece of canvas. I spray teal and gray sprays. Next, I added a design with Graphite Paste and Metal Plate Stencil.

I sprayed all the Industrial Cluster #2 and #6 along with the Broken Bits #6 with Black Soot Distress Oxide.

Next, I added silver and gold waxes.

When all the elements were glued, I added some Salvaged Patina. Then I decided to add some Carmine as well to add some color.

To finish, I just add some microbeads and glass glitters.

Under the sea - Mixed media canvas for Dusty Attic DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a mixed media canvas. I used one chipboard of the new collection.

I painted the Ships Wheel with Dark Chocolate Impasto. Next, I added clear crackle paste randomly. Why dry, I sprayed Walnut Stain Distress Oxide.

I covered all the elements of the Steampunk Submarine and the Blueprint title with silver paint. Next, I glued all the elements together. I added some rust effect paste.

I also painted the Jumbo Cogs and the resin gears with silver paint, which I covered with rust effect paste. I brought back the silver with the help of Brushed Iron wax.

I covered the Seaweeds, the Ocean Elements, and the Coral Mixed with Military effect pastes. Next, I highlight the details with waxes.

I covered a 12"x12" canvas with a piece of Nautical tissue paper. I added a thin layer of white gesso and a design with the River Stone stencil and modeling paste. I added on the edges White Crackle paste. When dry, I colored the background with blue and teal inks.

When everything was glued, I added some shadow with black and brown liquid acrylics.

Something Special - Mixed media panel for 49 and Market DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on 49 and Market blog with a mixed media panel featuring the Curators Botanical collection. The photo I chose is part of a collection of vintage postcards I collect.

I covered roughly the panel with plaster paste. Next, I added a design with the paste and a stencil.

When dry, I colored the background with Bombshell black and Long John's Silver inks.

In the corners, I added black Roughly Sewn rub-ons. Instead of adding some text with a stamp, I preferred to use the rub-ons. I started with black texts from the Curators Botanical collection. On top of them, I added brown text from the Vintage Artistry Everyday collection.

I selected Ephemera bits and Laser Cut Elements from the Curators Botanical and the Artoptions Avesta collections to add under the photo. I add a few Garden Petals flowers as well.

To finish, I added silver and gold glitter.

Mixed media book cover - Finnabair Brand Ambassador

Hello Sweeties,

Today I have a book cover to share with you. Have you ever observed how nature quickly takes over when you let it happen? Have you ever come across an old building, an abandoned car filled with plants and flowers. It’s what I try to reproduce here.

First, I added a design with graphite paste which I partially covered with white crackle paste. When dry, I painted with black gesso.

I used metallic flakes to cover the resin gears with the help of gilding glue and painted all the metallic elements with black gesso.

When I was happy with my composition, I brought back all the details with white gesso. Then I added the colors with liquid acrylic and metallic paints.

I used antiquing wax to tone down the metallic flakes and metallic waxes to highlight all the details.

To finish, I added Golden Dragon and Magic Potion Unicorn pastes.

I hope you will like the video:
