Creativity - Mixed media canvas for Finnabair

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Finnabair blog with a mixed media panel. When I saw this month’s theme, I immediately thought at this postcard I purchased the last time I was in Paris. I love the feeling of this scene. I can easily imagine the place where they come from: a dark room with a rich decoration of gold and silver. And here they are, quietly taking a little rest, in a simple pub between two representations. And you, can you imagine it too?

I glued some book pages to the background and added paper paste. I used mica powders and liquid acrylic paint to color it. I added a design with Sparkling Onyx and Precious Rubies Jewel pastes and the Tapestry Wallpaper stencil.

The frame was primed with black gesso and covered with silver metallic flack and white gold wax. The other resin elements were painted with metallic paints in silver, gold, and white pearl, Ink Black liquid acrylic to add shadow, and waxes in the same shade.

To finish the composition, I added some glitters.

I hope you will enjoy the video:

... Dreams ... - Mixed media canvas for Dusty Attic DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Dusty Attic blog with a new mixed media canvas.

Photo by hp koch on Unsplash

First I primed the canvas with black gesso. Next, I cut a paper into small pieces. I stamped all the pieces with black ink and different stamps on the edges. I primed all the pieces with clear gesso and inked all the edges with black ink before gluing them on the canvas. The next step was to add a design with a stencil and paper paste.

I primed all the chipboards with white gesso. I painted the Geo Tribal Arrow #1 and the Moons #2 by Nuneka with different liquid acrylic paints. I painted the Seedlings #2 with Burnt Sienna paint as well as the horns of the Cow Skull.

I glued all the elements with a 3D Matte gel. I added some sisal to remind the hair of the girl.

I added some flowers as well which I colored with blue and brown inks. I colored the design with the same inks.

To finish, I added some Golden Dragon paste, sequins,  and glitter.

Laughing - Mixed media loayout for 49 and Market DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on 49 and Market blog with a new vintage layout. I chose to work with an old serie of selfies that I found beautiful.

As usual, I primed the background - Curators Botanical Les Fleurs paper - with clear gesso. Next, I added a design with a stencil and a mix of Clear Crackle paste and a beige Magical.

I selected some Laser Cut Elements, Ephemera Bits, Bookplates, and Remnants from the Curators Botanical and Curators Essential collections.

I choose some flowers from the Majestic Bouquet and Royal Posies sets. I used Walnut Stain Distress ink to color the flowers.

I added some cardstock between all the layers to add some dimension.

To finish, I added some glitters.

I hope you will enjoy the video:

I don't do fashion ... - Mixed media layout for Lindy's Gang DT

Hello Sweeties,

Today I'm up on Lindy's Gang blog with a new mixed media layout and a technic to make a marble effect.

Process
  1. Prime the background with clear gesso;
  2. Add a design with clear and white crackle pastes;

  3. Cut a paper in strips and glue them on one side;
  4. Colored a resin frame with Sandra Dee Sepia Magical mixed with Liquid Fluid Medium;
  5. Next, add some green and blue waxes to the frame, and highlight the details with a copper wax;

  6. Die-cut some leaves in a watercolor paper: some large, some smaller;
  7. Color the small ones with Long John's Silver and Crow's Nest Copper;
  8. Color the other with Long John's Silver, California Poppy Gold, Sparkling Sunset and Galactic Teal;

  9. Glue the frame, some flowers, and the leaves with 3D Matte Gel;
  10. Color the flowers with Sparkling Sunset;

  11. Add some Galactic Teal to the background;
  12. Continue to color the background with a baby wipe by dabbing Galactic Teal, Sparkling Sunset, and Long John's Silver to obtain a marble effect;

  13. Stamped randomly with a text stamp;
  14. To finish, add some glitters.
I hope you will enjoy the video:
